Evidence of the Algarve's!

One of the biggest events held in the Algarve and Portugal which happened between 17 and 21 February 2010, a Tour of the Algarve Cycling, an organization of the Cycling Association of the Algarve, back to the roads of the region for the 36th time this year with a platoon international full of international stars.

During five days the race will go almost all the Algarve, with steps that extend from Sagres to Vila Real de St.António. With a squad of almost two hundred cyclists, this "Algarve" will have a lot of runners the best of bicycles world, names like Alberto Contador, Lance Armstrong and Damiano Cunego, will be on the roads of this region. The Tour of the Algarve, has 20 teams confirmed they are: the Astana, Caisse D'Epargne, Euskaltel-Euskadi, Française des Jeux, Garmin-Transitions, Katusha, Omega Pharma-Lotto, Quick Step, RadioShack and HTC Team-Columbia. Rabobank, this year presented with the ProTour series. They also ensured the presence of Cervélo, Topsport Vlaanderen, and Vacansoleil Xacobeo Galicia. The squad is completed by five Portuguese teams: Barbot-Siper, CC Loulé-Louletano, LA-Paredes Rota dos Móveis, Madeinox-Boavista and Palmeiras Resort-Tavira.

Day 17 - Stage 1: Estádio Algarve - Albufeira - 157.5 km

Day 18 - 2nd stage: Sagres - Lagos - 207.5 km

Day 19 - Step 3: Castro Marim - Alto do Malhão (Salir) - 173.7 km

Day 20 - Step 4: Cacela - Tavira - 169 km

Day 21 - Step 5: Lagoa - Portimão - 17.2 km
